We are Ippei and Janine Photography, Tokyo portrait and lifestyle photographer duo. Here are some images from our newborn photoshoots which take place usually within the first 4 weeks of a baby’s life. Our newborn sessions typically focus on the whole family (rather than the staged “baby in a basket” studio style) in order to document the organic connection between the parents or siblings and their brand new family member in their own home environment or at an outdoor location. Janine usually conducts newborn photoshoot sessions personally because as a mother herself, Janine understands firsthand the needs of couples and families who have just welcomed a baby into their family. Janine is able to visit the client’s home for this precious time, sanitizing and taking precautionary health measures at all times. Natural light through windows is usually utilized as we believe natural light delivers an un-staged, candid, and real-life feel.
