  My husband and I thought it would be fun to have a photoshoot in Japan to have as memories. We came across Ippei and Janine and had an incredible time! We would highly recommend!

  While on a trip to Japan, I thought it would be nice to have photos taken of my husband and I for our 10 year anniversary! I reached out to Ippei and Janine and got a quick response. Overall, the session was so fun and the photos turned out immaculate! Janine knew exactly where to shoot and how to pose us, which I really appreciated! She even brought up my specific requests that I sent to her via email months prior, making sure she got what I was envisioning. I am going to cherish these photos for the rest of my life. Cannot recommend them enough for anyone wanting to get some professional photos taken in Tokyo!

  While we can't say that we booked a trip to Japan just for a photo opportunity with Janine and Ippei, it certainly was a huge factor in our decision to visit Japan (as opposed to another place) and they did not disappoint! We had our photos done with Janine and she was super communicative with us throughout the journey, especially the day of where the weather was not the best (the threat of rain was there all day!) She was super flexible with the shooting plan and was able to make spur of the moment decisions that resulted in stunning photos. In fact, we ended up being so thankful for the rain as I felt that it made the session so much more special! My husband has a hard time smiling into photos but Janine made the session so comfortable that he was able to smile naturally - I feat that I can't do most of the time for pictures! Even more bonus points as the photos come out within a few days so no need for the a long wait. Honestly, they are just amazing. We had originally reached out as a couple of our friends also had their photos done with Janine and Ippei, and we loved their photos, and I may be biased, but I think our photos turned out even better (most likely due to the weather). For anyone thinking about booking a session, I say go for it, you won't regret it! 🙂

  We had such a great time with our shoot with Ippei and Janine. Everything went smoothly from booking our spot with Janine and on the day of the shoot with Ippei. Firstly, Janine was really honest on how their style is very distinct and she even recommended other photographers who had different styles. But we knew that we wanted them from their portfolio and we’re glad we went with them. On the day of the shoot it was Ippei who took care of us. He was really personable and easy to work with. He made us really comfortable even though shooting in public was always awkward for us. Every shot he took we were just amazed on how it turned out. He also helped us with poses and angles to make sure we looked our best and was proactive in checking with us if we have some other shots that we wanted to do. And the final results really exceeded our expectations and we’re really glad we did this shoot with them It was worth it and we highly recommend them!

  Janine was wonderful to work with for my fiancé Kane and I’s engagement session. From start to finish, Janine was extremely professional, kind and incredibly talented. We were both nervous as this was our first time getting professional photos taken and she made us super comfortable and offered guidance throughout the whole process.   It was an absolute pleasure to work with Ippei & Janine. Janine was extremely communicative and detailed in her emails. Her responses were quick and answered every question we could think of even before we thought to ask. Ippei was our photographer on the day of our shoot and was amazing! He was flexible with a last minute location change and patient with us throughout the session. You could tell he had a clear vision for the shoot but let us be ourselves. He even went out of his way at the end of the shoot to share his favorite places in Tokyo and in Japan in general. Our photos turned out amazing thanks to his vision and final edits.   Ippei & Janine were wonderful to work with and so helpful! After booking with them, they gave recommendations for hair/makeup and kimono rentals. Ippei is an amazing photographer who was very friendly and whom we felt immediately comfortable with at our photoshoot. We visited Tokyo a bit too early for peak cherry blossom season, but Ippei went above and beyond to make sure we got the photos we wanted and we were able to find one tree that bloomed early and it's one of our favorite pictures! Would highly recommend them!

  I booked a surprise proposal photoshoot in Asakusa at night with Ippei & Janine Photography for my Japan trip with my now Fiancé. Everything went smoothly, Ippei and Janine continued to communicate through email and was able to notify me of every little detail.   My husband and I decided last minute we should do a photoshoot while we were in Japan for our wedding anniversary. When I saw Ippei & Janine's work on IG, I knew they would be the photographers we would want to work with, but was not sure if they would take us so last minute (literally a week prior).   If you want your photos done right Ippei & Janine are the way to go! I signed us up for the surprise proposal session and could not be happier. My now fiancée and I have very little experience posing for pictures but working with Ippei made it feel very fun and natural.   When we began to plan our honeymoon in Japan one of the first things we wanted to do was to schedule a photoshoot with Janine and Ippei.   Our time with Ippei far exceeded our expectations. He was relaxed, laid back, and professional.   We are absolutely in LOVE with our photos from Janine!   We had an absolutely amazing experience with Ippei & Janine from start to finish and I would recommend them to literally anyone. My now-husband and I inquired about an elopement shoot in Tokyo several months before our trip. Ippei & Janine responded quickly and it was a breeze to set things up with them--communicative, clear, responsive, and delightful. We worked with Ippei on the day of our shoot and he was so genuine and thoughtful. He instantly put our nervous selves at ease and orchestrated some beautiful shots. He has a wonderful eye for framing and light (this is obvious when you look at their pictures). We enjoyed our hour of photographs, chatting, and walking around Tokyo. He showed us some pictures as we went along and it felt promising (this I say as a person who always feels that photos of me look terrible). Afterwards, I told my partner that I'd be thrilled if we got three good pictures out of the shoot. Turns out, I had trouble finding three pictures I *didn't* like. Every image was great. And we got them two days after the shoot, as promised, which was a fun way for us to share a little of our trip with friends and family back home, while we were still in Japan. I cannot recommend Ippei & Janine highly enough.

We had chosen a popular tourist destination for our shoot, and she gently reminded us to be realistic with our expectations, especially with the unpredictability of the crowds and weather. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, and made us feel at ease. His mastery of capturing light and angles produced such beautiful photos. They were better than we could have imagined! We absolutely love our photos and they truly captured the essence of our trip to Japan.

Most of our communication was through email with Janine and she always replied in a timely manner despite the time zone difference. She also worked with us to suggest photoshoot location spots depending on whether we wanted to do a nature or city shoot. On the day of our shoot, Ippei was our photographer and we could not recommend him enough. If you or your partner feel awkward infront of a camera like we do but still want beautiful pictures in Japan, Ippei is awesome to work with. He provided plenty of pose suggestions which were heavily appreciated. He's also super outgoing and we felt like we got to know him and his family throughout our hour together which made it feel even easier. After the shoot, our photos were returned to us in 2 days, which is crazy fast and they turned out beautifully. The way they work with light and framing is incredible! Highly recommend. Ippei & Janine book out pretty fast (they said upwards to a year for really busy seasons), so I would recommend reaching out ASAP. My partner and I did a 60-minute shoot with the plan of doing 1 location since we wanted to factor in time to get the "nervousness" out, but it was seriously not needed. Ippei brought out the best in us right from the start and we even had time leftover to shoot at another (but very close) location.

  Found Ippei & Janine online when we were looking for someone to take wedding photos as we were eloping during our holiday to Japan. We were lucky enough that they had time to photograph us in the limited amount of time we were in the country. The communication by e-mail was very good from the start, which was incredibly reassuring for us as we travelled from far away. There were clear instructions and recommendations ahead of the session, so we knew what to expect on the photoshoot itself. They were very professional throughout, and we really got the feeling that they wanted to get to know us to be able to portray the real us in the photos. I've broken down this review into a few sections to make for easier reading. Booking: Very straight forward. Clear pricing. Prompt communication about available dates and what to expect during the whole process. Straightforward and transparent pricing (quite competitive compared to other photographers). Easy to make a deposit payment. Planning: They were very thoughtful in discussing our session with us. We were asked about out personal tastes/preferences of photography style. Ippei and Janine are obviously very knowledgeable about Tokyo and were able to narrow down our selection to a couple of locations that they thought would be ideal for us. Throughout this process they were also constantly providing us with examples of previous shoots in those locations to give us an idea of what our photos may resemble. Lead up: In the days leading up to our shoot, we could see that heavy rain was forecasted for the day we had planned for. Janine and Ippei were very proactive in asking about our comfort about shooting in the rain. Up until the very last minute, they were flexible with scheduling and we ultimately agreed to delay the shoot until the following morning for when the storm had passed. It was a huge relief to not have our shoot cancelled altogether. Day of: Both Ippei and Janine shoot independently. Ippei was assigned to our session. We were given very clear instruction about when and where to meet. The remainder of our payment was requested to be made in cash (Japanese yen). Ippei was there a few minutes before our scheduled appointment time. From the start he was very approachable and light-hearted which helped to make us more comfortable. It is Tokyo and so expect to be a bit quick on your feet to get the best shots possible while navigating around other pedestrians. Ippei was great at directing our movements while allowing room for some spontaneity as well. He would show us some of the photos on his camera as we moved along to make sure he was capturing the moment as we would like. There was a pleasant mix of close up intimate shots as well as more private distance shots. As we were quite efficient with our time, we even had 20 minutes to spare at the end and Ippei was gracious enough to offer to take us to another location for a few quick photos in a different environment. Side note* I love eating and Ippei was able to give us some terrific recommendations while we were walking from place to place. Photos: Our photos were gorgeous. They were promptly delivered within a few days of our shoot and we were awestruck by the result. Ippei captured the moment between my fiancée and I with such sincerity and helped us blend in seamlessly with our surroundings. The resolution of the photos is terrific and the downloading the photos was quite easy. The link can easily be shared with family and friends for viewing and you have 1 month to download the photos from their site. My fiancée and I are so grateful to Ippei and Janine for helping us commemorate our engagement and first trip to Japan together. We will certainly look forward to requesting their services again in the future.

Janine messaged me a few days before and we ended up having to move our shoot to four hours after we landed due to a Typhoon that was about to hit the morning after we got in. She was great, accommodating, showed us the best spots in the half hour we had, and then walked us to a great little dinner spot, which was incredible. Photos arrived a few days later and they were great. As a professional photographer I was not super nervous and pretty much let her do her thing, as I tell all my clients if you like the portfolio, and like the style then that is what your going to get, so relax and let the professionals guide you and everything will be fine :).

  Ippei & Janine have been fantastic from the start-- Janine was warm and responsive when we first reached out to discuss our photoshoot, and after we had confirmed she continued to give us very detailed instructions and advice and even recommended a great MUA in Tokyo to help achieve the best outcome. With the detailed instructions it was easy to know what to expect, which helped ease us into the shoot with Ippei. We're terribly awkward people but he worked his magic and we miraculously looked really natural and relaxed on camera. We're also super grateful that we managed to get the exact type of shots that we wanted-- Janine had been careful to manage our expectations due to various logistical/operational limitations, but they managed to come through for us in the end and I was really relieved and thankful.   Had an incredible time with Ippei at Asakusa for our engagement photoshoot. He's a wizard with a camera and every shot we received looked like a dream! We booked a one-hour session and we were unbelievably happy with the results and variety of photos we received. Asakusa is notoriously busy, but Ippei was able to guide us and frame the shots to look like it was just the two of us! Although we did encounter rain during our session, it only enhanced the results. Our turnaround time only took 2 days and we're more than happy with the results! 100% would recommend if you're in Japan. Thank you again!

  Ippei is a wonderful photographer that knows how to guide you and take the best result out of you. We had a shooting in Asakusa and even if the shrine was full of people Ippei was able to isolate us and make it look like it's just the two of us living our moment. We also faced some difficulties with the kimono rental and were out of schedule but still Ippei was very cooperative and helped us with everything. We received the photos 2 days later and the result was stunning! Definitely recommend having this experiene in Japan! Moreover, prior to the meeting, Janine was very helpful through our emails, giving us every detail about the photoshoot and the place we will meet. That was really reassuring considering that you visit a strange place for the first time.

  We fell in love with Ippei and Janine’s cinematic evening photos and booked a 30 min session for our honeymoon. Our session was with Ippei who moved expertly from location to location. We were surprised that he remembered small details about us like our profession and that we met dancing. The photo turnaround time is so fast, but the quality is just as stunning. Highly recommend them if you want some special photos from your Tokyo trip!

  We had a 30-minute session with Janine at Asakusa and it was such a pleasure working with her. Janine was very professional and very attentive to details. Upon arrival greeting she immediately directed us to the intersection for the beautiful ombre sunset sky and our photos turned out beautiful.   Ippei & Janine Photography stood out amongst the other photographers we looked at. I was certain that I wanted them to capture our engagement photos. We communicated with Janine through email, and she was extremely thorough and helpful in arranging our photoshoot. We are very thankful they changed their schedule to fit us in. At first, we were a little hesitant that it was an evening photoshoot, but it was perfect. It was much cooler at 5pm to wear yukatas than in the afternoon. They gave us many recommendations and tips which were very helpful. From the beginning of our communication and throughout the photoshoot, their level of professionalism was above and beyond. Ippei was our photographer, and he was very prompt and efficient. He directed us on how to pose and captured some photos from angles that I wouldn't even think of. Ippei's creativity definitely shines in his photography. Ippei was very easy to talk to and personable. He made the photoshoot very fun. We had such an amazing time that we forgot how uncomfortable it was walking in the yukata sandals. Ippei has an eye for detail and is very observant. He noticed the hydrangea flowers from so far away and said that it would go well with the yukata design I wore. We absolutely love our photos and highly recommend them! I usually struggle to like 1 out of 10 photos but Ippei has reversed this problem for me. There were too many favorites to narrow down from. Thank you so much for capturing these moments for us!

  We were looking for photographers to help us shoot some engagement photos in Tokyo during our trip and stumbled upon Janine and Ippei through google. Janine helped us in coordinating everything leading up to the day of the shoot. She was really helpful, friendly, and quick to reply.   We had the pleasure of having Janine photograph our engagement / pre-wedding photoshoot in Tokyo.   I cannot recommend Ippei and Janine enough to anyone looking to do a photoshoot in Tokyo! I was first drawn to their style of photography because of how natural all of their models looked. My husband and I are not great models (awkward in front of camera), but Janine helped us feel at ease and direct us on how to pose. Unfortunately we had some rainy weather during our sakura shoot, but Janine and Ippei met us out in the rain to capture some beautiful photos. Plus, they say overcast makes for even more beautiful pictures. 😉 I reached out a couple weeks before we arrived in Tokyo, and I was hoping they would have a spot available to us. Luckily they had a 30 min slot open. I wasn’t sure how many good shots we could get in 30 minutes. However, I guess it is easy when you are working with true professionals. We had so many wonderful pictures that came out. Communication and booking with them was easy as well! If you are thinking about booking with them, stop thinking and do it!!

  Our experience with Janine was wonderful. From the first emails before our shoot through to the day the actual photos (within just about 3 days of our shoot) were delivered was incredible. The shoot itself was well managed and she was able to pull wonderful shots of our normally hard to pin down toddler in our pregnancy shoot. In a short time frame she was able to conjure up great ideas as well as capturing all the ones we specifically asked for. The results are gorgeous and we will treasure them forever.   It was a great expereince working with Janine from the moment when we first started emailing back and forth all the way to when we received the photos! We initially decided to work with Janine because she shared a lot of helpful information upfront, which helped us to understand the process, expectations and need not to worry about if there’s any hidden fees or service that we will have to purchase additionally. Janine also asked for a few photos of ourselves to get a sense of who we are, and from there to suggest some great locations and themes for us to choose from. A few days prior to the photoshoot session, Janine shared detailed information with us on how to get there and where to meet exactly, which was so easy to follow. Janine was already there waiting for us 10 mins prior to the starting time, allowing us to relax, chat about the agenda and have a full 60 minutes on shooting!   I found Ippei and Janine while cruising through Pinterest looking at Japan elopement ideas and immediately ran over to my fiancé to show off their work! We weren't intending to take photos on our trip but when I saw their style and the genuine joy they were able to capture of their clients, couples, and families, I knew we were in good hands! In 10 years together, my partner and I had never had professional photos taken (and aren't big photo takers on our own), so we were a bit nervous. We worked with Ippei during our shoot and even though we were LATE (take that earlier train, folks!) and were absolute beginners being in front of the camera, he got us started right away and helped us pose and move in a way that felt natural to us. We were surprised but we actually had a ton of fun during the shoot! We had been to Asakusa before during the day and loved it but running around with Ippei through the back streets at night was an experience in itself.   We had a pretty last minute plan to visit Japan and it so happened to be our first trip since our engagement. My fiancé and I figured we should shoot our engagement photos in Tokyo. We were so happy and honored to be able to work with them, as we really appreciated their style of photography. on the day of our photo shoot, we worked with Ippei and he was so sweet and accommodating (even asked us if we wanted hand warmers because it was quite cold that day). None of it was awkward because he made sure to guide us with different poses and asked us prior if there was anything that we specifically wanted, on top of that made sure that we were getting our better angles.   It was a lot of fun to shoot with Janine. I booked a 1 hour session with my partner and our 1 year baby boy, and Janine made us feel comfortable in front of the camera (which was not an easy task!) and managed to capture some candid moments with our baby who never stopped moving 😅 She also managed the time perfectly without ever giving us the impression of being in a hurry, so we can make the best of the session with different background and scenes.   It was by pure chance and luck that I got to book a a surprise engagement shoot with Ippei and Janine considering their very busy schedule. It was peak season(December) but they manage to squeeze us in and it was nothing short of incredible. From the initial phase, `the other Janine`(*wink wink*) was very informative, friendly and precise. She was on point with her suggestions on the location, timing, clothing, etc., and the communication updates were very timely! Everything felt professional but at the same time very personal! Ippei was our photographer for the day and though there were some initial hiccups with our chosen location(not their fault), Ippei was very flexible and made sure to make it work for the best. At first my soon to be fiancée Janine(my Janine :D) felt awkward but eventually Ippei made her feel comfortable and confident which was a big plus! Ippei knew all the great spots in Akihabara and though there was now a bit of a crowd, post-covid and all, but an hour spent felt very short, enjoyable and amazing! Turnaround for our photos was done in just two days and it was stunning! We are very much happy with the quality and style overall.   We had the pleasure of working with Janine whilst in Japan for our honeymoon and we are so thankful that we have chosen her to capture our visit to Asakusa at the end of our 2-week long trip.   Gary and I engaged Ippei for a casual pre-wedding photoshoot in Tokyo in late December 2022 and it was a fantastic experience. Ippei was friendly and engaging, and his easy going demeanour put us at ease right from the start, resulting in a very comfortable and enjoyable shoot. Ippei was also very helpful in providing us tips on how to position ourselves, and he even asked asked if I had a preferred side after which he consciously positioned Gary and I throughout the shoot to help us show off our best selves. He took us to multiple spots in Tokyo during the 3 hours, and was experienced enough to flex and come up with new ideas when we weren’t able to photograph in certain areas as originally planned. We were highly attracted by their photography style, mood and feel which is very special and iconic compared with other photographers.   We reached out to Ippei and Janine for an engagement photoshoot for the brief time we were visiting Tokyo and were lucky enough that they had space in their schedule to fit us in! Throughout the months before the shoot, Janine communicated helpful instructions, answered our questions, and provided so many useful tips for the shoot from what to wear, to weather conditions, to location. As someone who had never done a professionally shot couples photoshoot her patience and tips were super helpful! Ippei was our photographer for the day of the shoot and guided us through a variety of posesvery informatively given that we had no experience with posing prior to the session. We were able to hit a bunch of thoughtfully selected locations around the Asakusa area and were surprised by how many photos we were able to squeeze into a 30 minute session and the variety of locations spots we took them at. The photos, which we promptly received via email the day after the shoot, were lovely and well surpassed any expectations we might've had.   Many of our friends have done family portraits with Ippei & Janine and we finally had the chance to do a shoot with Janine! Now I know why all of them become repeaters. I knew their photos were amazingly striking but in addition to that, Janine was so wholeheartedly kind, gentle and knew how to make our little boys relax and have fun in front of the camera. Once we got the photos - a quick two day turnaround! we were stunned.   The communication before the shoot was very smooth over emails. Ippei and Janine helped us define the different locations and provided advices regarding outfits. We recommend booking well in advance as they are in high demand. For the shoot itself, it was the first time that we (my fiancée and I) ever had a photo session. We were a little bit nervous at first but Ippei made us feel at ease straight away. Our shoot was over 3 different locations in Tokyo over one afternoon. It went very smoothly and allowed for a good variety of pictures across all different places. Ippei knew all the right spots, and was great at taking advantages of the light and surroundings. He also guided us for the different poses and movements, while ensuring we kept a natural aspect to the photos (as opposed to being static). Overall, we are very happy with the results and the high quality of the photos that we received only a few days after the shoot.   Ippei and Janine were wonderful to work with. Before the shoot, they shared a lot of useful information about how to prepare. They also communicated frequently with us to ensure that they really understood what kind of photoshoot we wanted. Ippei did the photoshoot for us. He was friendly and engaging, and really made us feel comfortable since this was our first photoshoot. He also talked to us about his thoughts on specific spots or poses, and showed us sample pictures frequently to make sure we were happy with how it was going. As a photographer, he was very effective. We managed to visit a large number of places in the 2 hours and ended up with a variety of beautiful photos. He was also prepared by being up to date with city construction, and able to suggest alternative plans on the fly when we hit unexpected crowds.

  Thank you for taking our amazing maternity photos. We were planning to have a photo shoots at Hamariku garden but last minute Janine found out the park was closed due to coronavirus and suggested some other options. So we decided to go to Hibiya park for the photos. She was so quick and a good planner. We have a shy two year old daughter and Janine relieved her tension so our daughter smiled a lot and could take the best shots so far :). We definitely will come back.

  We have been big fans of Ippei and Janine's work for several years now, but only recently did we book a family photo shoot with them, and I am so glad we did it. The photos are beautiful, we all look fabulous on them! They really have a way to capture atmospheres that no other photographers I hired managed to do. The process of hiring Ippei and Janine is also super easy; they are very responsive and communication is super clear. I showed Janine the photos in their portfolio that I liked the most and she understood my preferences; then we chose to meet at my local temple; she investigated the area on Google maps for the best spots around the temple and had great recommendations. So on the day, within 30mn, we were able to take several views of the family (us four, kids only, pregnant mother only) at the temple and on the side streets of the temple. I honestly I don't know how Janine produced such an array of amazing pictures in so little time and with so little hassle for us! Lastly, she also managed to get the kids to look at the camera, using little toys to attract their attention! I think that whoever reads this review will understand that I highly recommend working with Janine and Ippei 🙂

  I had reached out to Ippei & Janine for our newborn pictures. I loved that Janine already gave us great advice prior to the session (ideal age of the baby for such a photoshoot, she was also inquiring about our place, the lighting and materials we could prepare) so I felt prepared. The session itself was great, very relaxed and natural, Janine had plenty of ideas and suggestions (as I know nothing about posing and/or looking good on pictures) and the pictures turned out wonderfully. Communication was great all along and we got the pictures really fast which was impressive. Thank you so much!

  I booked a session with Janine to shoot head shots for work. I had no idea about the location or the kind of clothes to wear but Janine guided me through all those decisions and had prepared some great places to take photos. She also helped me with the poses, expressions in a kind and fun way even though I was super nervous about being in front of the camera I am thrilled with how the photos turned out.   our family had our photo shoot last weekend with janine and ive looked at our photos countless times since receiving them early monday morning!   I can't possibly say enough good things about Ippei and Janine! We did a 1 hour shoot on Saturday night, and our photos were delivered on Monday morning!! Most of our email correspondence was through Janine, and she was helpful and informative and gave us a lot of good recommendations about times, dates, and even clothing. The day of, we worked with Ippei and he was great. My fiance is very shy and normally a bit awkward (sorry babe) when taking photos, but Ippei gave us a lot of excellent directions and really helped us relax. Before this session I had only done family portraits and was feeling a bit self conscious of doing solo shots.   I had a great experience doing a maternity photoshoot with Janine. She understood my expectations and delivered amazingly. Communication was always smooth and professional: from initial contact, choosing the package, setting the date, location suggestions, etc. The edited photos were also ready just a couple of days after the shoot! During the photoshoot, she was great at directing my poses and the photos came out absolutely wonderful. If you're black, you always worry about coming out too dark in photos because of lighting issues but the photos are just right, jut magical, especially the ones in the cherry blossoms. I would 100% recommend Ippei & Janine to anyone who wishes to do a photoshoot in the Kanto area! Looking forward to the next one!

  We had a wonderful half-hour shooting with Janine! Even it was a little bit cloudy, the photos are still amazing! We are nervous in front of camera, but she made us really comfortable and gave us many advice in such a short session! And we really like the photos and the photography style! Strongly recommended!

As a creative enthusiast myself, I had somewhat of a vision for our shoot but Janine’s ideas prior to the shoot and Ippei’s on the spot vision were so on point, that our photos turned out beyond our expectations!   We had a great session with Janine. She was very detailed oriented both before and on set: she provided many amazing locations depend on what kind of photos we would like to have, then narrowed down to 2-3 locations after discussing with us. After we have decided the location, prior the photo shoot she would send a detailed email regarding the location (how to go by train, taxi or by car), suggestions on clothing and colors and so on to make sure we would get good photos and good experience. I’m very glad that I took her advice on how many locations we should do during our session - with 2 hours session it seemed easy to do 2 locations with the car but when we actually are doing the session, I realized how hectic it would be with two small kids and all the luggage we had. I thought we wouldn’t have all the elements for the photos since we decided to do only 1 location, but we had everything we wanted on the pictures: beautiful red/yellow autumn leaves, Japanese traditional architects, natural woods, tsubaki flowers... and most importantly, amazing capture of the whole family. On the day Janie make sure everyone is happy and comfortable in front of the camera, it was effortless for us and so much fun. She was very good to get the kids attention and capture at the perfect moment. After the shoot we received our pictures very fast, and we are so in love with it. We are VERY satisfied and happy with the service and the results, which we are already planning to do another one in spring with Janine again. We would definitely recommend anyone who are considering having a beautiful photo session with Janine and Ippei, they for sure will capture the most beautiful moments of yours.

  We had such a great photo shooting with Janine. Our kids had so much fun and loved to take pictures with Janine. She has a great way to handle kids abd the whole family during the shooting in Tokyo. She knows every cycle of traffic lights to have the perfect timing for a picture, knows great spots and is just super professional.   Janine was professional in all her correspondence leading up to the photo shoot and a genuinely kind person on the day of the shoot- she made us all very comfortable although in front of the camera. The pictures turned out perfect and we are in love with all the photos that we received. The mood of each and every picture was perfect.   This past week Janine met my family outside of Tokyo to take our family photos. From the first interaction on email to the very end she was so pleasant and helpful to work with! Due to the current Covid 19 situation, I asked up front for flexibility on locations for a specific date. We had hoped to be able to spend one of our final weekends in Japan in Tokyo but my husband's company refused us to travel outside of Kanagawa. So we both looked into a new location. It was an area she had never been to before. I had given a few locations I thought would be good photo spots but she did her own research and had an entire walking route mapped out to use our time effectively. Throughout the photoshoot she kept showing me images of our family. I was in love with every image I saw! She captured my family beautifully while capturing the backgrounds I had inquired about. Two days later I was heading into a meeting, and my email pinged with our final photos. I couldn't believe she had everything turned around so quick! If you have the opportunity, book Ippei and Janine- you will not be disappointed in the beautiful products they deliver.

  We had such a great experience shooting with Ippei & Janine. We originally planned for a bright outdoor shoot in the park so we were much disheartened to know that it was going to rain the whole day during the shoot.   I engaged Janine for a family photo shoot as we were going to have a family holiday in Tokyo. I got to know them as a colleague recently engaged them for a photo shoot and i loved the style of their photography which is very natural.   This was our first time doing a professional family shoot and it was such a great experience! Janine replied promptly to all of our email inquiries and was very helpful in picking a location. The day of our photo shoot it was raining, but Janine assured us she could still take great photos so we packed our daughter's rain boots and went to meet her. We had so much fun during the shoot and Janine captured fantastic pictures of our daughter splashing happily in puddles. The pictures turned out great and we would definitely book Spicer and Naoi again for our next round of family photos!

  Ippei and Janine are such a pleasure to work with. After working on putting together a wedding, I know how hard it is to talk to vendors but Ippei and Janine were the complete opposite!! Janine communicates everything perfectly and we were able to meet Ippei easily using her directions. Ippei was also amazing to work with! We booked a two hour session for our honeymoon to Tokyo and Ippei was able to capture our trip perfectly. We were able to do two complete different scenes. One in nature and one in the city. My husband and I are probably the worst at taking pictures (blinking and looking awkward). However, Ippei was able to capture our best sides!! I voiced some of my concerns while emailing Janine and she was able to help me out so much. She even emailed me what the weather should feel like in our local area!!   We were in Tokyo for a month with our 2 kids (3yo and 1yo) and wanted to take some quality family photos to close out our trip. I did a quick search on google and trip advisor, Spicer and Naoi was popping up in many reviews. I contacted them and got a response very quickly. It has been a pleasure working with janine. She has made the whole process as smooth as it could get. We had a screaming toddler and a sassy threenager, but Janine was so patient and understanding. She has turned our chaos into art. The turn around time was quick and easy. We got the online album before we even got over our jet lag. The pictures turned out amazing, we could not be happier.   We decided to have a photo session in Japan during cherry blossom season. We fond Spicer and Naoi Photography and it was the best decision. From the beginning contact with Janine was excellent. She helped us to choose the places in Tokyo for a photo shooting where we still could have cherry blossom trees ( we were a little bit late for Sakura). One day before a session Janine was so kind to send us an e-mail with all the information needed for next day (including exact directions from our hotel to the meeting place). We decided to take our wedding photos in Tokyo!
